I was a College Lecturer for thirty years, teaching English Literature during the week and rock-climbing at the weekend. Now I have a caravan in the Lake District where I go to work as often as I can. In it I write easily. It inspires me to sit on my decking with the mountains behind me and Ullswater in the distance below. If I can't write, then I walk.
My writing career started when I wrote scripts for Commando comics - stories of the Second World War. Then I wrote forty-four Medical Romances for Mills and Boon. Now I'm concentrating on Romantic Comedy. Love and laughter - what could be better?
When I'm not writing, I like to travel. Mostly I tour Europe, but every couple of years I get in a visit to the West Coast of America for walking of a totally different kind.
