C.A. Lootens, MPH, CHES will probably never decide whether she's more of an artist, a scientist, or just some kind of extraterrestrial life form. Lootens is a public health specialist who has an abundance of writing experience through her educational background and lifelong affinity for the craft. When she’s not collecting data, writing, or hanging out with family, you’ll find this wayfaring “empath” out hiking in the mountains, sniffing old books while sipping cayenne-flavored coffee at the local bookstore, or doing (and sometimes teaching) yoga. Along with her debut novel "Shunya," she’s written a children’s book, a memoir, and a book of poetry; and she's published a few short, non-fiction pieces in magazines, and one in a newspaper. She lives in beautiful Colorado, where she dreams of "yurt life," and enjoys a daily glass of home-brewed kombucha.
