Product Description

Nikki was the perkiest witch alive. Just ask her mirror. When her boss lays down the law perky just won't cut it. With one last shot at proving she can be wicked, Nikki finds herself in more trouble than she bargained for. Gregory Hamilton walks through her door and wicked just isn't in the cards. Making him forget all about true love might be harder than it looks. Especially, when she falls hat over tails for him. Now, she's got to make him realize that she's the witchy woman he's been dreaming of, while keeping her boss off her back long enough to figure a way out of this mess. Whew! Oh and by the way, there's a dragon living in her kitchen sink. Yeah, things just couldn't get any weirder. For her sake of her perky heart, she hopes they will get Wickeder.

"Nikki!" I cringed, as I instantly recognized the owner of that voice.

Still, I couldn't let her see the fear twinkling in my eyes. For one thing, I wasn't afraid of her in the conventional sense. It wasn't like I thought she could kick my butt or anything. Vampire Slayers weren't that scary, especially ones from St. Vlad's. No the other one. The Joanies weren't either. St. Joan's just had nuns to make them look scarier. Savannah Marshall wasn't scary in a slayer sense of the word. She was scary in the only way that counted. She was perkier than me, and just a tad bit needy.

"Wow! I thought that was you, but wasn't sure until you turned around." She panted a series of massive breaths. I thought slayers were supposed to be in better shape than that. Like I had room to talk. I was out of breath from drinking my latte.

"Yep, got me." I dropped my stinky stick. "What are you doing this far north, Sav?"

"Sir Reggie thought it might be best for me to take off-campus courses this semester. So, he personally enrolled me at The North Delta Community College to take some courses in economics and accounting." She scratched her ear. "For some reason, he thought I needed a career to fall back on."

Wonder where he got that idea? "How's that going for you?"

"Okay, I guess." She shrugged. "I just wish I was back at St. Vlad's." Sav bent in and whispered for no apparent reason. "Do you know the community college doesn't even have a class in mortal combat?"

"Do tell?" I tried to look shocked, but hey, I'm not that good an actress.

"Yup!" She followed me back to the bench. "Hey, do I smell Starbucks?"

"Nope." If Savannah knew what was good for her, she wouldn't press too hard on that point. Sitting down, I readied a little frog transmorphation spell just in case.

Transmorphation was a witch word, so don't even try to look it up.

"Weird." Plopping down beside me, she let out a yawn. "Man, all this normal education is wearing me out. So, what are you doing out and about? I mean when the sun is out."

"Got bored." Which was more or less true. "Decided to go for a drive and see what the real world looked like. So far, I'm not impressed."

"I know what you mean. I haven't seen a single vamp since I've been up here." Squenching up her face, Sav curled her hands into fists. "I was really hoping to test out my mad skills without someone looking over my shoulder and giving me a critique."

There was a very good reason she hadn't seen any Vampires. I had twenty different wards in place to keep the suckers out. They smelled like blood and, after that Stephanie Meyer book went viral, I wasn't taking the chance one would show up on my doorstep asking for a glitter spell.
