Ann came late to writing. After a long career in engineering she enrolled in a correspondence writing course, hoping to improve the quality of her reports. After dutifully completing the various assignments, she got to the book-writing section and found a hidden passion for story-telling. Needless to say, she never completed the rest of the course but spent the next ten years toiling over a succession of novels. After a career in engineering that saw her working in Zambia and South Africa, she now lives in Lincolnshire, (UK) with her husband, one cat and hundreds of tropical fish. She is an avid traveler and keen people watcher, skills she puts to good use in her writing. The Blue Scarab is the first book in a three part series set during the time of Queen Hatshepsut, a mere 3,500 years ago.
